I fell in love with writing when I worked at the Council on Foreign Relations as a research associate, where I was a staffer for America’s Response to Terrorism Task Force after the 9-11 attacks. It was a terrible and wonderful time to be there. I wrote white papers on Afghanistan and the threat of Bio-Terrorism. It was an eye-opening time for me.
Later I got into grant writing and worked to help raise money for teens in Harlem, and even wrote the curriculum for a performing arts school for kids in New York City.
Most recently I have been ghost writing and working on a novella and script. It is all about empowering women, destroying misogyny, and breaking the structures that keep oppression in place. But mostly I write poetry which usually turn into lyrics. Feel free to follow my blog for the latest!
