When we think of creating sacred space, we often imagine a place that provides us shelter, peace and security. But the further we journey along the path of self-discovery, the more we realize that sacred space is created from within. Your body is your temple, for it houses your mind and spirit. Your body is the intersection of the invisible world of thought, emotion, and inspiration with the physical world, and is what connects the divine to the world around us.
When we dance, we give our spirit permission to share our deepest inner world out in the present moment of time and space. Our dancing bodies can express everything from dreams, to passion, or fear, and can even transmute darkness into light.
“The Enchanted Forest” is a musical meditation for creating divine sanctuary around you. The element of Earth, the root chakra, abundance, healing, and sanctuary, all inspire this music. Close your eyes and imagine your sacred space. Walk through it with your body, paint the scenery with your limbs, touch the magical world you create with your fingertips, and allow dance to take you on a journey into your true sanctuary.
